Great stuff. Hope this keeps going. You’re doing a great job.
The city has been kind enough, for a few years now, to write a proclamation making April 25th Parental Alienation Awareness Day. Which allows us to visit the discussion of the abuse(mental) caused by parents who are having difficulties divorcing or separating a family unit. PASSE (Parental Alienation Syndrome Support & Education) is an acronym coined by Mr. Clint Boswell as far as I know. I have tried to continue supporting discussion on the topic with three different Justice Minister’s over the years, with no support at all from Ceicil Clarke or Ross Landry. The current Justice Minister, the Honourable Lena Metlege Diab was also approached through e-mail by myself, and shortly after I was involved in a family law feed back initiative. This was their way of collecting information from the public on questions they put forward on problems within the Maintenance and Custody Act. My last conversation with one of the team leaders running this initiative, left me still knowing there had to be a lot more done to keep “Parental Alienation” out of the court rooms. The biggest problem with this type of change is, if nobody is in a dispute with separating or divorcing the family court lawyers and the family court system itself would not make any money. So the more fighting out in society when separating and divorcing, the more money they make and if they change the Maintenance and Custody Act too much it just may have this affect. Regardless, I am wanting to have some contact with GotAVoiceRadio before April 25th to discuss having something take place on your platform. I firmly believe it is a valid problem in our city and with the city supporting awareness through their proclamation, the natural course is to talk publicly about it. My city councillor is Steve Craig in Lower Sackville. But I am a displaced Northender Ha. ha. You may contact me through twitter, e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or simply phone 902-252-2367. I hope to see this conversation happen. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
